Robert Stannard finds potential turning point with Tour de Wallonie win


Robert Stannard (Alpecin-Deceuninck) safely found his way through a hectic cobbled stage at the 2.Pro Tour de Wallonie on Wednesday to take the overall win and a breakthrough first professional victory he hopes will mark a career turning point.

The 23-year-old Australian, who started in the BikeExchange development programme in 2017, has stepped onto the podium a number of times in his career but he has never before taken to the top step.
