The 2022 edition of the Volta ao Algarve kicks off with a stage for the sprinters! There are a couple of climbs on the menu, with 2,155m of elevation gain, but this shouldn’t cause the sprinters too much trouble, especially with it largely being concentrated in the first 100km. The run into the final is straightforward, with the last 2km arrow-straight and wide so should invite a big bunch finish! Will crosswinds ruin the party or will we see a sensational race for the line?
