The Cycling Podcast / Service Course | Episode 7

In this month’s episode of Service Course, Lizzy Banks and Tom Whalley take a look at the new kit that’s arrived in the peloton for 2020. They hear from young riders, Mikkel Bjerg, Katrine Aalerud, Niamh Fisher-Black and her brother Finn, all of whom have recently stepped up to bigger teams, and talk about the challenges of using totally new equipment.

There’s also a conversation with Cannondale’s Global Director of Sports Marketing, Jonathan Geran, about how the brand have expanded its presence in the women’s side of the sport, by being the bike sponsor for 3 professional teams. He talks about the feedback that the pros give to the brand and the way it influences design, and also the changing nature of what pros demand from a bike supplier. The answer to that one seems to be gravel bikes.
