After a time trial and a wicked summit finish, the 2026 UAE Tour brought back something for the sprinters on Thursday’s fourth stage. Two Canadians finished in the top 14, Riley Pickrell in eighth and Pier-André Côté and fourteenth. Derek Gee-West’s Lidl-Trek teammate Jonathan Milan took the victory in Fujairah. Antonio Tiberi kept the red leader’s jersey. Gee-West retained his seventh spot on GC.
Milan now has three victories on the season. He’s six points from Isaac del Toro’s points jersey.
It’s the second time Pickrell has been in the top 10 of the 8th UAE Tour. He placed seventh on the first stage at Liwa Palace.
The eighth edition continues on Friday a route even more suited to sprinters.
