UCI World Championships: Mathieu van der Poel wins 2023 Elite Men’s Road Race

Mathieu van der Poel survived a late crash and damaged shoe to win the world title in Glasgow after an epic 271 km race.

The Dutchman was part of a select group that chased down Alberto Bettiol (Italy) and then attacked alone with one ands half laps of the twisting Glasgow circuit to race.
