USA National Road Championships: Coryn Labecki mows down breakaway to win 74th national title in criterium

Coryn Labecki (EF Education-Cannondale) notched up her 74th national title, coming out of the last turn in the downtown Charleston, West Virginia course like a rocket and sprinting past solo breakaway rider Elizabeth Dixon (Fount Cycling) just before the finish line.

“I just had to stay a little patient – she was right in front of us, so we could see her the whole time,” Labecki said. “I think a bit of luck worked in my favour, and I just went immediately out of the last corner because she was still winning off the front solo.”
