Fast, sharp and agile—the YT Izzo has always been a trail bike ready to shred singletrack and ripping through home trails. Now, with more travel, better components and a refined geometry, the Izzo is even better. There’s also the addition of the Öhlins RXF36 M.3 fork on the higher end version and Shimano drivetrains across the lineup. If you want wireless, well you’ll have to add it afterwards. This is an analog bike through and through.
Frame and features
The chasis of the Izzo is its Ultra Modulus frame. Depending on the model, you’ll find a carbon or aluminum rear end, both UDH compatible. YT has bumped front travel up to 140mm, making it more capable when the terrain turns rowdy. With a slackened 65.7-degree head angle and a low 338mm bottom bracket height, the Izzo balances descending ability with climbing efficiency.
Size-specific chainstays (432mm for sizes S-L and 437mm for XL-XXL) ensure that every rider gets a balanced feel, whether tackling steep switchbacks or hammering up technical climbs. Add in an integrated Fidlock mount and a tool mount under the top tube and you’ve got a setup that keeps you riding light and fast.
The Core lineup
Izzo Core 1 $3,499
The entry-level Core 1 proves that “base model” but it doesn’t mean basic. The Ultra Modulus frame is paired with an aluminum rear triangle, offering 130mm of rear travel through YT’s trail-tuned four-bar linkage. A Marzocchi Z2 Bomber fork and inline shock handle suspension duties, while the Shimano Deore groupset brings dependable performance.
Sunringle SR329 wheels with a 30mm internal width come wrapped in Maxxis Minion DHR II tires and YT rounds out the package with its own in-house cockpit components.
Izzo Core 2 $4,499
Stepping it up, the Core 2 blends a hybrid carbon frame with premium components. The RockShox Pike Select+ fork features the latest Charger 3.1 damper for fine-tuning, and the Deluxe Select+ rear shock expands your rebound adjustment options.
The drivetrain gets an upgrade to a Shimano SLX setup, paired with an XT shifter for crisp gear changes. Crankbrothers Synthesis XCT wheels and Maxxis DHR II tires (with tougher EXO+ casing in the rear) keep things rolling, while the SDG Bel Air 3.0 saddle and YT Postman V2 dropper complete the build.
Izzo Core 3 $6,299
At the top of the lineup, the CORE 3 doesn’t hold back. It introduces the Öhlins RXF36 M.3 fork with 140mm of travel. This fork features updated stanchions…
