Day three will offer the riders very little respite. From the moment they leave Arles they’ll follow a series of rolling roads that slowly, but surely, rise up through the Durance Valley. The two categorised climbs and undulating terrain throughout the latter half of the route will make this an incredibly difficult stage to control and a playground for the escape artists. The run into Manosque is technical and littered with road furniture. Those that make it through unscathed will then need to tackle the 1km-long, 4% kicker to the finish line. This is a day for the hard men with a punchy finishing kick.
